Emerald City

Approximately 12 hours ago, one of the mail boys delivered a very large stack of newspapers, magazines and letters.  Sandwiched in between an envelope full of magazines and today's Sydney Morning Herald, I saw an unmistakable spotted satchel peeping through. My Topshop jeans had arrived!

My work big sister managed to convince me to try them on straight away but since I was wearing tights, the attempt was unsuccessful.  If only we had captured that moment! As soon as I got home, I ripped off those black tights and said hello to emerald pins.  These 7/8th length jeans are absolutely perfect for me, no trip to the alterations lady needed.  Would it be excessive to order in every other colour it comes in because boy am I tempted - I told you I was obsessed! But only once my shopping fast is over, of course!

The 'Yo!' Files: Yo, let's go frolick!

Issa Cap-sleeve lace dress
Part lacy princess Kate, part sassy little sis Pippa.  It's no wonder this jade floral embroidered number by one of the Duchess's favourite labels has sold out.

Doctor Knickerbocker, Knickerbocker, Number Nine

One of the girls at work today has noticed that I've lately been wearing a certain style of trousers an awful lot.  Now I haven't used or even heard this word in a very long time but according to this colleague whom I affectionately call E-Dawg, I'm "bringing knickerbockers back." If only I could dub "KnickerbockerBack" over this tune.

While I call them "cropped pants," regardless of what you want to call them; I think they're pretty cool.  Not to mention they're ridiculous comfy; thanks to this particular style featuring the low-crotch.

Wearing my new Scanlan & Theodore knickerbockers
 and bringing knickerbockers back.

Scared of wearing the low-crotch? This tune is sure to get you in the mood; especially if you do the dance. Or not, in which case go back to the tune that I'll now always call "KnickerbockerBack."
